The beauty of the painting process is that I'm surprised by what emerges from within. Experiences and impressions of landscapes and moments flow into my paintings – sometimes consciously and unconsciously. Often, it's also the diverse emotions that emerge in my pictures.

The non-representational and abstract become an intuitive play of colors, shapes, and textures. I like the tactile quality of painting and use various natural materials, such as stone chips from my sculptures. This creates a connection to the whole for me in the resulting painting.

My paintings are meant to delight the viewer, inspire, and stimulate the imagination.
